Offset and Cardi B put their differences aside to celebrate their son Wave’s 3rd birthday with an airplane-themed party. Despite their ongoing divorce proceedings, the couple came together to make sure their son had a special day filled with love and joy.
The party was filled with intricate details, from Wave’s outfit to the decorations. Wave was dressed in a stylish ensemble, complete with Timberland boots and a customized iced-out chain. The five-tier cake was adorned with fondant airplanes, suitcases, a compass, and paper airplanes, showcasing the airplane theme of the party.
The party room was beautifully decorated with white and light blue balloons, and featured airplanes with Wave’s name on them. There was even a faux flight departure schedule that added to the overall ambiance of the celebration.
Chef Franklin Rosario prepared a delicious spread for the adult guests, including fresh salad, Brussels sprouts, garlic mashed potatoes, baked mac and cheese, Italian meatballs, lobster mac and cheese, fried chicken wings, BBQ ribs, salmon, and lamb chops. Meanwhile, the younger attendees enjoyed burgers from Mr. Beast, adding a fun and casual touch to the festivities.
The Divorce
Last month, Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset, citing that they had grown apart as the main reason for their split. Despite rumors of infidelity in the past, Cardi clarified that it was not the cause of their separation. The couple, who married in secret in 2017, share two children together, Kulture and Wave, with a third child on the way.
Co-Parenting and Custody
Cardi is seeking primary custody of their children but has made it clear that she is not asking for child support from Offset. Her focus is on ensuring that their children are taken care of and provided for, without any financial strain on her ex-husband.
Despite their personal differences and ongoing divorce, Offset and Cardi B showed that they are committed to putting their children first and creating positive and memorable experiences for them. Wave’s birthday party was a testament to their dedication as parents, and hopefully, they can continue to co-parent effectively in the future, despite their relationship status.
